The Side Letter

Early stage venture capital has a discovery problem. Due to outdated regulations, closed networks, and a lack of discoverability, many future top funds remain hidden, known only to those “in the know.” Venture is at an exciting inflection point; a changing of the guard is underway. While many of the most revered brands have chased AUM, shifting from asset manager to asset gatherer, a new wave of emerging funds is redefining the craft of venture capital.

Founded by David Zhou and Sam Huleatt, The Side Letter hopes to bridge this GP-LP gap, shining a light on a future generation of standout funds and sharing what makes each of them special. Thanks to our unique vantage point, we’re able to curate high-potential funds without bias (or agenda), and peel back the layers to reveal what truly sets each fund apart.
